  • Traffic from Social Websites

Are you using social sites like digg, delicious, twitter and other to increase traffic to your site? ShoeMoney recently wrote an article about twitter saying that after using Twitter for one year he received 25,000 visits direct from twitter.

Now of course Shoemoney is a SEO / Web Marketing Hero, how does that affect a SEOLoser like myself. I do not currently have a site that even gets 25,000 visits per month. Well, on a smaller scale Twitter and the other social network sites are very helpful in bringing traffic to your sites. I launched the Twitter account for this site on May 5th, and I am currently getting about 6 visits per day from Twitter and the rest of the Twittosphere. If that pace continues and say that goes to 60 within a couple of months, or 4-500 visits per day in a year, that is a nice extra traffic boost for me.

If you have not used this services to attempt to drive traffic to your site give it a try. If you have, let us know the results.

    Thanks for reading.

One of the first tools that I found when I was creating a new site about 6 months back was the Keyword Suggestion Tool from DigitalPoint.com.

If you are looking for specific keywords that are in the same niche as the site you are creating, or looking for keywords to include in your site, this is the tool for you. It gives you an idea of how many searches are done per month from Overture(Yahoo) and from Wordtracker.

If you have never used this tool, it is one of the important ones too add to your SEO tool bag. Best of all, it is FREE thanks to DigitalPoint.com
